We're looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team based in Oxford!

An Accounts Payable Assistant at  Plumbase  works at pace, has amazing excel skills and is always happy to help in order to get our invoices paid quickly; ensuring our suppliers and branches are impressed with our service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring invoices/credits are accurately inputted, appropriately authorised and coded using correct cost centres and expense codes and matched in a timely and efficient manner, working within strict deadlines as outlined in specific KPI’s and objectives.
  • Ensuring Manual Matching of Stock Invoices/Credits are processed in compliance with deadlines.
  • Obtaining and reconciling supplier statements, investigating and resolving queries.
  • Communicating and resolving supplier and branch queries or disputes efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensuring any supplier accounts placed on STOP that are assigned, are cleared within 24 hours.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to branches and suppliers.
  • Arranging regular supplier meetings.
